In 2021/22 there were 889 people actively engaging  with the local commissioned service: Change Grow Live (CGL).  For those seeking help for alcohol, the length of treatment for those in Cambridgeshire was 252 days, as compared to the national average of 194.

A tad over a third of all those engaging in alcohol treatment in Cambridgeshire completed treatment in 2021, which is on par with the national average. Sadly, forty residents died from alcohol related illness in Cambridgeshire which is in line with national figures.

Interestingly, the vast majority of services are delivered in the community, by CGL, with only 28  patients being funded for residential treatment. This could be due to budgetary constraints. 

​

CGL offer an open door/ no appointment necessary service. Peer mentors, who are in recovery, will meet and greet new clients and guide them through the processes and services.

 For fee paying clients, residential services are available with costs comparable to London. However, there are lower costs options available slightly further afield. Outpatient services are also available.
