Leeds

Figures or 2019-2020 show that the city had a total of 2,921 new presentations to treatment.  Of this cohort, 672 were parents with children under the age of 18.  113 people, sadly, died from alcohol related conditions in this time period. This was an increase from 102 the year before. Leeds city council figures suggest that there are over 16,000 adults in the city who are struggling with problematic drug use/dependency.

Due to the increase in demand, the city council boosted funding for the commissioned provider: Forward. This was welcomed as services address the worrying increase in alcohol related deaths which, during 2020, hit a fifteen year high.
